Overview

To support our dealer network and strengthen sell-through of power accessories, I led the creation of an animated training video series for prepaid wireless retailer associates. The goal was practical: give associates the product knowledge, customer scenarios, and language they needed to confidently recommend the right accessory and handle objections at the point of purchase.

Problem

Associates at prepaid wireless retailers selling our products had inconsistent levels of product knowledge, which showed up in predictable ways. Associates defaulted to familiar or lower-cost items rather than recommending based on customer need. Common objections "Isn't this the same as a cheaper brand?" or "Why does this one cost more?" were going unanswered and turning into lost sales. Without a standardized approach, the brand's messaging wasn't reaching consumers consistently through the retail channel.

Process

I worked from scripts provided by the copy team, translating the written content into animated visual narratives. Before any animation began, I storyboarded each video to map out the visual design, pacing, and how product benefits and objection-handling moments would be illustrated on screen.

From there I developed all motion graphics and illustrations in the Alphacomm brand style, animating customer scenarios, product highlights, and response sequences to make the content engaging and easy to retain. Each video was edited for concise, focused delivery so that it was short enough to fit into retail onboarding without losing the details that mattered.

Solution

The series is a set of animated training videos built around real retail scenarios: a customer with a specific need, an associate making a recommendation, a common objection, and a clear, confident response. The animation style uses the Alphacomm brand visuals throughout, keeping the training material consistent with the brand associates are representing on the floor. The videos were designed to be revisited, not just watched once during onboarding.

Impact

The series became part of the dealer onboarding process on our learning management platform, giving prepaid wireless retailer associates a consistent foundation of product knowledge before they reach the sales floor. The goal is straightforward: an associate who understands the product is more likely to recommend it confidently, and a confident recommendation is more likely to convert. The videos put that foundation in place.
